All technician / mechanic candidates must have 1 year experience as a repair tech of motorcycles. Basic understanding of computers. This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to be on your feet for long periods of time and move at a fast pace. Moving of vehicles by hand is also required. Those with confidence and a positive attitude in addition to a keen attention to detail are most successful here.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 1 year of Motorcycle/Powersports or Automotive Dealership experience.
  • OEM certifications preferred.
  • Provide your own basic tools.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Diagnose and repair two and four stroke engines.
  • Remove and replace defective frame and body parts, using hand tools, arbor presses, flexible power presses, or other tools.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
  • Perform preventative and regular maintenance, according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Inspect vehicles, and identify additional recommended services.
  • Prepare list of required parts and labor times for each job.
  • Explain diagnostic test results to Service Manager, and if necessary, the customer.
  • Perform test rides and other tests.

Service Advisors ensure that every customer has a reliable and trustworthy product. Whether that be a motorcycle, ATV, generator, or lawn mower, our customers deserve this assurance. You are the center of communication for service/repair activities and the liaison between customers and the technicians. You will serve as the primary point-of-contact for all service and repair matters, listen to and thoroughly understand customer problems, arrange for appropriate service/repairs, and set/manage expectations on the part of the customers and the technicians in terms of service delivery. You will make sure the customer knows what repairs are needed and what repairs and maintenance are recommended. Our guests don’t necessarily want to have to bring their babies in, but our Service Advisors ensure that they are satisfied that their equipment will be repaired right the first time and in the shortest time possible.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • At least one year of direct Service Advisor experience with related computer skills; CDK experience get first place in line for interviews
  • Motorcycle Endorsement required
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer focus and friendly, helpful attitude
  • Patience

  • Flexible schedule to cover dealership hours including Saturdays

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build customer relationships through a proper meet-and-greet
  • Train the customer on proper maintenance using maintenance menus (reliability)
  • Complete a thorough equipment health check by doing a multi-point inspection (safety)
  • Communicate effectively with the customer by giving feature/benefit presentations
  • Let the customer decide, yes or no
  • Follow up on customer-declined repairs
  • Hold everyone accountable to the mission
